About Maywood Cub Scouts

Cub Scout Pack 1199 is a part of the Northern New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Our chartered organization is the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church located on 120 East Pleasant Avenue in Maywood, NJ.

Joining the Cub Scouts is a lot more than just camping, fishing trips and outings. From the values taught through the Scout Oath & Scout Law, Scouting also fosters citizenship, builds self-esteem, teaches Scouts that they are part of a bigger world and builds friendships. Scouting is also about family. In today’s world, it can be difficult spending time as a family. Moms, dads, brothers, sisters, friends and family are welcome to participate in most den and all Pack events. Scouting is fun with a purpose!

Scout me in!

So what’s the next step? Feel free to take a look at upcoming events and let us know if you’re interested in attending. Bring a friend!

While you’re there, your child will probably recognize a few faces. Take the opportunity to speak to one of our leaders.

If, for some reason you cannot make any of the upcoming events, you can always e-mail cubmaster@maywoodcubscouts.org.

Interested in volunteering? Our Pack leadership is made up of moms, dads, aunts and uncles JUST LIKE YOU!! We’re always looking for den leaders and committee members to help us give our Scouts the best program!

What in the WEED? We often call some beneficial plants “weeds” and while many commonly found backyard and sidewalk plants are non-native they do serve a purpose especially for early spring pollinators! Do you have any of these early bloomers in your backyard?
